My experience with UPS on the delivery of this product was very poor. When the two boxes arrived it looked like they had been around the world a few times. The main box was tattered and torn. The product could be seen through the broken corners.I wish I had refused shipment right then and there but by the time I got outside the UPS Driver was down the road.A few days later I opened the boxes and found the product was damaged. Bolts were bent. The rail edges were bent. The canister brackets were bent. I spent a lot of time pounding the dents out and straightening what I could. The canister lid was bent and the paint was peeling from the edges. The rail on the left side near the tailgate was bent to the point the rubber seal could not be placed back in the machined groove.I installed the product and found the aluminum screws were not sturdy enough to drill into the aluminum hanger brackets. Two of the screws broke in the process so I ended up drilling pilot holes.When I adjusted the inner rails the inner aluminum rail track bent and broke causing the heads of the bolts to become free. I could not secure the inner rail at that location.After a lot of work I was able to get the product installed and adjusted.All in all the G2 is a good product. The product retracts well. I did notice two holes on either side of the bed rail behind the Canister lid that are open about an inch and allow water to enter the bed. That is a poor design.I may have recieved a lemon for a product.

The BAKFlip HD (Heavy Duty) Tonneau Cover / Truck Bed Cover has all of the great good looks and functionality of the BAKFlip G2 (Generation 2) Model but in a Heavy Duty / OEM (Factory) Quality version as this cover's outer surfaces are ALL METAL like the BAKFlip G2! However, the core of the BAKFlip HD Tonneau Cover / Truck Bed Cover is 25% more dense, 1/8" thicker and is much more rigid then the G2. The BAKFlip HD opens, closes, and operates identically to the BAKFlip G2 Model, however the BAKFlip HD has the following refinements: Panels on HD are 5/8" thick vs 1/2" thick for the G2 .The BAKFlip HD's textured flat aluminum surfaces on all panels have two coats of epoxy primer that is baked on at 460 degrees. This is a good product, but Bak Flip Inc. does not recognize Bak Flip products sold on Amazon. I got a great buy on a Warehouse Deal; woo hoo!!! The cover shipped promptly and was here in 2 days. I opened the first package and started to install the cover. Whoops; the rails are missing. I called Amazon and was offered a refund with no issues, but I wanted to try and get the rails. Called Bak Flip and was disconnected and called back three times. Finally, got the person who I needed to speak to and...Rails cannot be ordered separately and Bak Flip does not honor warranties from products sold on Amazon.

Fast Ship, as advertised, price $100 less than anywhere else. The BAK Rollbak took a little over an hour to install working by myself. Easy to install. Because each installation is a little different, you may need to add a bit of weather stripping under the cover (in my case due to the side rail protectors I have installed). The cover is good ,allows untold access to your truck. Love it when riding in the mountains, all the wet gear tossed in the back with the boards.my only negative - the hd model scratches very easily - very easily- like watch out even for small dogs type easy scratching.Not fully water proof either - lots of water on sides of bed but middle stays dry. Oh yeah frozen to tailgate also thats always nice.Overall am very happy - should of got the F 1

I've had this cover for about a year and a half. It is not totally water tight but pretty good. The paint is coming off of it, bubbling up here and there. VERY ANNOYING. If you want to haul a 4-wheeler in the bed, and be able to shut the tailgate, do not buy this as the retractable storage box takes up a large amount of room. When you install it there is a large gap on the front, right behind the cab, between the cover and the bed box. I had to go buy some self stick foam insulation strips to put in between before completing installation. I DO like the fact that since I have an auto locking tailgate that I can put whatever I want in the bed and feel like it is in a secure place.

I've had several hard tonneau covers and this is by far the best. It looks great and I get comments on it all the time. It is a very clean install and looks like it belongs on the truck. If you pick up something that won't fit under the cover, no problem like with some other covers. You simply roll it up and put the big item in there. Installation was easy. My only complaint on install was where the instructions have you set the side rails relative to the tailgate. The instructions read (to me) that the rails need to be a certain distance from the tailgate and following those instructions left a gap between the rubber seal on the cover and the tailgate. However, you don't get to test that gap until the very end. So I had to go back and loosen the side rails to get it to seal properly. Other than that, it was perfect.

Where do I start... OK, first I was looking for bed cover that provided a good seals, durability and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I found all these in this product. The first thing that attracted me was the price. Same or better quality for a low cost. After comparing this design to other similar products, I chose it cause of the aluminum material. High strength to weight ratio at least for this application. Also, it doesn't rattle just in case you were wondering. The reason I chose this one was because I saw an old truck with one of these. The paint was chipped but the thing looked functional. I figure the paint was chipped cause the truck looked like a work truck. It had tools in the back. I was going to buy the retrax bed cover but am happy that I didnt get it especially since it cost > $300-$400. According the retrax sales person, the retrax rattles due to the clearances in the ball bearings. As for the installation, make sure to dedicate 3-4hrs for installation. FYI, Make sure to install the L brackets (that support the retractable bed) flush to the bed. Im very happy with my purchase.

I have really enjoyed the new tonneau cover. It was super easy to install; took all of 15 minutes. It's not completely waterproof, but you can't expect it to keep out all the water. I took mine to the car wash and had very little water get in the bed of the truck. When first installed, the rubber seals around the edge are a little deformed due to the way it is packed, but once they are heated up in the sun, they reshape the way they should to make a better seal. It seems very durable and should last a while.

I am telling you this is easy to install.. i cant believe it takes people 3 or more hours to get it installed.. i did it in one yes 1 hour.. and that was taking my time to make sure it was right.. If you have any mechanical ability at all this is not a problem at all.. I began the installation thinking it would take 2 + hours by reading the feedback.. when i would glance at the clock and see the time i would re-read the instructions to make sure i had not skipped a step.. It really is simple.. i am telling you i had it in and adjusted in one hour.. just me, no help.. IF you have any ability at all you will have no problems.. the instructions are simple and clear, follow them and you will have no problems with adjustments or installation.I did take it to the car wash right after i had it installed and there was some water that made it through but i figured there might be with that kind of pressure, i drove for a few hundred miles in the rain and nothing was wet so it works for me. I had a locking tailgate cover installed by the dealer so it matched the pickup and uses the same chevy key for the ingnition so that is handy, no extra keys.. and when it is closed it is secure.It doesnt really tell you in the video but the cover can be stopped in one extra spot. There is a catch for the very end where it locks against the tail gate and there is one other that you can slide and anchor where ever you want.
